WHAT IS IT?
Snowshoeing has been around for 10,000 years, originally to ease travelling in deep snow to hunt and collect wood – today it’s one of the fastest growing winter sports.
Showshoeing allows you to get out into the winter wildness and enjoy journeys through the majestic beauty of the environments that surround you.
The excursions we offer will take you to unspoilt corners of The Alps where we will enjoy moments of peace and tranquillity, and of course fun together, immersing ourselves into the culture of the mountains.
WHERE?
The trips are mainly based around Valmalenco with start points from Refugio Zoia or Cristina. Both areas have family run establishments which offer their guests high quality meals and always a very warm welcome. You can also stay over if you wish.
We also run excursions outside of Valmalenco, especially some night trips that are designed to discover the corners of Lombardy, lit by the illuminations of the moon.
Every winter we organise a week’s trip to the artic polar regions which allows us to marvel at the aurora borealis, and the spectacular wild expanse that can only be truly comprehended if you are there.
WHY CHOOSE US?
This is a fun sporting activity that allows you to visit the winter mountains without knowing how to ski. Our guides ensure you enjoy a trouble-free trip using their extensive local knowledge to ensure you travel the safest and most beautiful routes around the mountains.
WHEN DOES SHOWSHOEING TAKE PLACE?
